Board - Care and cleaning
For quick cleaning, we recommend using a clean, damp sponge or a microfiber cloth. When wiping, make sure that you wipe either from top to bottom or from left to right. Do not wipe in a circular motion, as this will spread the chalk dust you have just picked up back onto the board. After wiping, rinse the sponge or cloth well so that no chalk residue remains. We recommend using classic chalk for writing, as it can always be removed without leaving any residue.
With chalkboard markers , it often happens that residues or "shadows" of the writing can be seen after cleaning, especially if the writing is not wiped off promptly. We recommend cleaning the board with water in the evening or at least once a week, depending on how intensively you use the product. You can add a little vinegar to the water or, if necessary, a mild cleaner to dissolve grease residues.
Wood - care and cleaning
- Regular cleaning: Wipe the wooden surface with a dry or slightly damp (not wet!) cotton cloth. Please do not use a microfiber cloth, as this can cause small scratches in the wood.
- Removing small stains: These can be easily removed with special furniture soap. Do not use grease-dissolving household cleaners or steam cleaners, as these can damage the wood structure, which can also damage the elegant appearance of the wood surface in the long term.
- Stronger stains on uncolored wood: If small stains cannot be removed by simply wiping, they can be easily removed with fine sandpaper. Then treat the affected area again with a suitable furniture oil.
- Water stains: Allow them to dry completely before treating them.
